With IP Traffic Spy, you can monitor the traffic that is transmitted over your network. The application reads the TCP/IP packets from your network adapter, and automatically displays the obtained information.
For each packet that is detected, the program shows date and time, source IP, source port, destination IP, which can be local or external, destination port, text data appended to the packet, and its size. It also indicates by means of icons if the packets are sent or received by your computer, and whether they are foreign packets (not destined for your computer).
The program also gives you the option to export the information displayed to a file. This information is limited to 100,000 lines, so when this limit is reached, the oldest packets are automatically overlapped. To avoid having too much information, you can set up filters to include or exclude the traffic of specific IP addresses and ports.
In short, with this program you can easily obtain information about all the data that is transmitted across your network, but you will need another program to interpret this information.
